The source of technical issues that you can experience with some of our games can vary greatly on PC. We've included below some of the most common solutions that could help resolve your issue.
Repairing the game's installation files:
Steam :
- Open your Steam Library.
- Right-click the game that you'd like to repair and select "Properties".
- In the Local Files tab, select "Verify integrity of game files".
Epic :
- Open your Epic Library.
- Click on the " ... " icon to the right of the game that you'd like to repair.
- Select "Verify".
Microsoft Store :
The Microsoft Store does not contain a repair option. Instead, you'll need to re-install the application through the "Add or Remove programs" app on Windows, and then re-install the game from your Microsoft Store's Library.
Running as Administrator:
If you have a shortcut on your Desktop, right-click the shortcut and select "Run as administrator".
If you do not have a shortcut, locate your installation folder for the game, and search for an executable file ".exe". Right-click it and select "Run as administrator".
If you do not see filename extensions like ".exe", ".txt", etc. click on the "View" tab above your folder window, and check the box for "File name extensions" in the Show/hide category.
Updating your drivers:

Selecting the correct graphics card:
This applies primarily to gaming laptops which will generally include both an Intel graphics card and either an NVIDIA or AMD graphics card.
NVIDIA:
- Right-click on your Desktop and select "NVIDIA Control Panel".
- Click on "Manage 3D Settings" in the left menu.
- Under Global Settings, click on "Preferred graphics processor" and select "High-performance NVIDIA processor".
Note: Alternatively, you can also select this option specifically for your game from the "Program Settings" tab but you'll need to locate the game's .exe manually.
AMD:
- Right-click on your Desktop and select "AMD Radeon Settings".
- Click on "System", and then "Switchable Graphics".
- If you can find your game listed, select "High Performance".
- If you cannot find your game listed, click on the "Running Applications", then "Installed Profile Applications", and finally "Browse" to manually locate the game's .exe file.
Disabling potentially conflicting programs:
It can occasionally occur that another program running on your computer can interfere with your game in some form. This can lead to crashes, input issues, performance issues, etc.
To investigate this, you can try launching your game while in Windows' Clean Boot mode. Microsoft has created a detailed article about this troubleshooting step which you can find by clicking here.
If your issue persists after following these troubleshooting steps, you can reach out to us. Be sure to include a copy of your DxDiag report. To do so, press the Windows' Start button, type dxdiag and press Enter. Once the application has fully loaded, click on "Save All Information", save the file, and attach it to the ticket form. If you know how, you can also attach any Logs or Crash files created by the game.
